Galets collects no data. The app has no account, no server, no analytics, no trackers and no ads.
Where your data lives
The profiles, circles, moments, tasks and photos you create are stored on your device.
iCloud sync is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, during setup or later in the app's Settings, your data is synced between your devices through your own iCloud account, in a private space we have no access to. You can turn it off at any time: nothing is erased, on this device or on the others.
You can export your data at any time from the app's Settings, and restore it from a backup in the same place.
Permissions the app may ask for
- Contacts: to create profiles without retyping everything. Access is read-only; Galets never writes to your address book. The app works without it.
- Notifications: requested only if you turn on reminders. They're scheduled on the device.
- Photos: only the ones you choose to add to a profile or a moment.
Apple services
The map uses Apple Maps. Quick capture and activity ideas rely on Apple Intelligence, on device or through Private Cloud Compute depending on your settings. This processing is handled by Apple and governed by Apple's own privacy policy; no data is sent to us.
Deletion
Deleting the app erases its data from the device. If you turned on sync, deleting all data from the app's Settings also erases the iCloud copy; you can also delete it from the iCloud settings of your Apple Account.
